FS Summer Picnic
Thank you so much for all of your support this year! We have had a lovely picnic celebrating our learning over the year. Thank you for all of the delicious food and a lovely afternoon!
Royal Wedding Celebrations
We ended our first Summer half term celebrating the Royal Wedding. After learning all about London, Paddington Bear and the Royal Family, the children loved learning all about the Royal Wedding and used this in their play.
We have had lots of snow! The children loved exploring the changes in the environment and creating their own snow sculptures. We practised our physical skills with snowball throwing and even built a snowman!
How do you like your porridge?
This week, after reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears, we made our own porridge. We talked about the ingredients and how to get the texture, taste and temperature just right! We then added honey or jam and tasted it! The children loved tasting it.
To learn the story of The Gingerbread Man for our topic of Traditional Tales, the children used their fine motor skills to squeeze icing and decorate gingerbread men. They had a great time and we talked about healthy lifestyles and how biscuits are a special treat. The children then acted out The Gingerbread Man Story using masks and remembered the key phrases and order.
